Every page is rotated by the angle you choose.

Add a PDF by clicking or dropping it here. It never leaves your browser.

Rotate PDF turns every page of a document by 90, 180, or 270 degrees and gives you a new file to download. It runs entirely in your browser using pdf-lib, so your PDF never leaves your device and there is nothing to install. Useful when a scan came out sideways or upside down.

How to use

  1. Drop a PDF onto the box, or click it to pick a file from your device.
  2. Choose how far to rotate: 90, 180, or 270 degrees.
  3. Click Rotate PDF and wait a moment while every page is turned.
  4. Click Download to save the rotated PDF.
  5. Use Reset to clear the file and start over with another document.

Examples

  • A sideways scan rotated 90 degrees clockwise so the text reads upright.
  • A document that came out upside down rotated 180 degrees to flip it back.
  • A landscape page captured the wrong way rotated 270 degrees (counterclockwise) to correct it.

FAQs

Does my PDF get uploaded to a server?
No. The rotation happens entirely in your browser with pdf-lib. The file stays on your device and is never sent anywhere.
Are all pages rotated, or just one?
Every page in the document is rotated by the same angle. The tool applies the rotation to the whole file at once.
Why are only 90, 180, and 270 degrees offered?
PDF page rotation is defined in quarter turns, so those three angles cover every clean orientation. Other values are not part of the PDF specification.
What happens if a page is already rotated?
The new angle is added on top of the existing rotation and normalised within a single turn, so the result matches what you would expect to see.
Does rotating change the page count or content?
No. Rotation only changes orientation. The number of pages and the content stay exactly the same.
Why did I get an error about a password protected PDF?
Encrypted PDFs cannot be modified until the protection is removed. Open the file in a PDF viewer, remove the password, then rotate it here.
